At the heart of the project is PowerAID™ Intelligent Dimming and a strategically placed sensor. Together, the system enables real-time dimming across 150 connected streetlights, while also monitoring multi-modal traffic volumes on one of New Zealand’s busiest corridors.

  • Safer journeys for locals and visitors

  • Protection of Kaikōura’s unique night sky and ecology, in alignment with the objectives of Te Rūnanga o Kaikōura (Kaikōura Papatipu Rūnanga)
