Virtual CMS Independent Operation for Tests and Trials
The PowerAID processes for traffic data-based dimming, can be operated independent of a specific connection to a live CMS platform. This virtual mode is useful to test and try out various dimming scheme settings and evaluate the impact in output and performance.
With Felicity’s traffic sensor, a single unit can provide live traffic data for multiple road sections, or lanes at the same time, and thereby enable a cost-efficient solution design, where the ratio of sensors to streetlights is fully optimized. In general, the most efficient designs are achieved when the sensors are placed in intersections that enables the count of traffic in several directions. With included planning and solution design services provided in the PowerAiD price, Felicity´s experienced team will conduct pre-installation design as well as savings outcome analysis/predictions. Typically, solutions aim for results from 80-150 luminaries/Sensor and a cashflow positive result within a year of operation.
